Recently, China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued a notice on implementing the 2023 industrial energy-saving supervisions
. According to the notice, China will, based on the work in 2021 and 2022, conduct supervisions on the implementation of mandatory energy-consumption quota standards and energy-efficiency benchmark level on 17 industries including iron & steel, coking, ferroalloy, cement (with clinker production lines), plate glass, building & sanitary ceramics, non-ferrous metal (primary aluminum, copper smelting, lead smelting, zinc smelting), oil refining, ethylene, para-xylene, modern coal chemical, synthetic ammonia, calcium carbide, sodium hydroxide, sodium carbonate, ammonium dihydrogen phosphate and yellow phosphorus, as well as the mandatory energy-efficiency standards for product equipment such as electric machinery, draught fan, air compressor, pump and transformer . In principle, in the first three years of the 14th Five Year Plan period, full coverage of energy-saving supervision should be achieved for enterprises of above-mentioned industries.
