BEIJING (Asian Metal) 21 Apr 23 - American indium ingot 99.995%min import market movements smoothly and most importers just import the materials depends on their orders, refusing to build more stocks. Currently, the mainstream import prices of American indium ingot 99.995%min stand at USD215-220/kg CIF US, unchanged from early this week. Considering that American importers' demand stays stable, insiders are of the opinion that the prevailing import prices of American indium ingot 99.995%min would remain unchanged next week.
A South-China-based importer disclosed that their regular Chinese exporters generally offer USD215/kg CIF US for indium ingot 99.995%min at present and most of the exporters refuse to lower the export price even for firm bids, unchanged from this Monday, while they did not import any material since early April due to limited orders. They last imported around 3t at USD210/kg CIF US at the end of March. The source said, "In view that most exporters generally keep the export prices firm, we forecast that the prevailing import prices of American indium ingot 99.995%in would stay stable in the upcoming week."
The importer, based on a regular monthly trading volume of 3t of indium ingot 99.995%min, expects to sell around 2t this month, down by about 1t from last month. They hold around 3t of stocks now, almost the same as the end of last month. They sold around 30t in 2022 and about 8t in the past three months in 2023.
A consumer in American mentioned that they last imported around 100kg of indium ingot 99.995%min at USD217/kg CIF US early this month from a regular exporter, who still insists on USD217/kg CIF US at present, the same as early this week. They earlier imported around 100kg at USD217/kg CIF US in the middle of March from the same exporter. As their demand stays stable, they keep importing around 100kg a month. "We believe that the mainstream import prices of American indium ingot 99.995%min would remain unchanged in the following week due to firm offers from exporters now," the source said.
The consumer, having a consumption capacity of 6tpy of indium ingot 99.995%min, holds around 500kg of stock now, unchanged from the end of last month. They expect to consume around 350kg this month, in line with last month. They consumed around 5t in 2022 and almost 1t till now in 2023.
