China Molybdenum to commence operation of Congo (Kinshasa) TFM copper-cobalt project in 2023

On April 19, China Molybdenum announced that the Congo (Kinshasa) TFM copper-cobalt mixed ore project which it invests in has been done with infrastructure stripping and civil construction, with its middle zone already in short-process loaded pilot production and construction of eastern zone advancing as scheduled.
With a total investment of USD2.51 billion, the project will build three production lines including one 3 . 5Mtpa mixed ore line, one 3 . 3Mtpa oxidized ore line and one 5 . 6Mtpa mixed ore line . The project is expected to be built and go into operation in 2023, and when ramping up to nameplate capacity, it is expected to help increase the company's annual copper production by around 200,000t and annul cobalt production by around 17,000t on average.
