BEIJING (Asian Metal) 20 Apr 23 - Supported by firm priced in the Chinese domestic market, Chinese antimony trioxide exporters keep their offers firm, and overseas buyers maintain hand-to-mouth purchases. Current mainstream export prices for Chinese antimony trioxide 99.5%min stand at USD10,500-10,700/t FOB China, up by USD100/t from late last week. Given that overseas purchases have not been fully released and it takes time for market transactions to grow further, insiders believe that export prices for Chinese antimony trioxide 99.5%min would stay unchanged in the coming week.
An exporter in South China said, "We now offer USD10,600/t FOB China for antimony trioxide 99.5%min and we sold 20t at this price just early this week. We last exported about 20t at USD10,500/t late last week." According to the exporter, in the recent two weeks the antimony trioxide export market sees slightly growing deals. His total exports were around 100t in the recent two weeks, compared with only 100t in the whole month of March. Given that prices lack downward momentum, overseas buyers made replenishments in small quantities, and the antimony trioxide export market sees steady deals. Meanwhile, overseas buyers hold a watchful attitude toward end demand and have no intention to make purchases at current high prices. Given that it takes time for market transactions to grow further, the exporter believes that export prices for Chinese antimony trioxide 99.5%min would stay unmoved in the following week.
With a regular monthly export volume of 200t of antimony trioxide 99.5%min, the source expects to export about 120t in April, compared with around 80t in March. He exported nearly 1,800t in total last year and 400t so far in 2023, holding no stocks now, the same as one month ago.
