Hence, the prevailing prices of South African manganese ore Mn 36%min Fe 6%max Si 7%max P 0.03%max stand at RMB33-34/dmtu (USD4.79-4.94/dmtu) at Tianjin port, down by RMB0.5/dmtu (USD0.07/dmtu). Based on the thin profit, insiders believe that the mainstream prices of South African manganese ore in China would remain unchanged in the following days.
A trader in North China quotes RMB33.5/dmtu (USD4.87/dmtu) for South African manganese ore Mn 36%min Fe 6%max Si 7%max P 0.03%max at Tianjin port today and they could consider concessions of no more than RMB0.5/dmtu (USD0.07/dmtu), while they quoted RMB33.5/dmtu (USD4.87/dmtu) without counteroffers. The trader received no inquiry today and last sold 1,000t at RMB33.5/dmtu (USD4.87/dmtu) late last week. The trader plans to firm their current price now but predicts that the mainstream prices of South African manganese ore in China would decrease in the upcoming days.
