A producer in North China revealed that he sold 100t of zirconium oxychloride 36%min Fe5-8ppm at RMB17,500/t (USD2,557/t) delivered D/P with the logistic of RMB200/t (USD29/t) this week, down by RMB300/t (USD43/t) from his price early last week. "My stock doubled in April against late March dragged by the shrinking demand, and about half of clients paused purchases and others quartered their regular purchase amounts," claimed the producer on Tuesday . Given the sufficient supply and shrinking demand, he predicts the mainstream prices of zirconium oxychloride 36%min Fe5-8ppm in China would go down further next week and he will stop production at the end of this month.
The producer, based on an annual production capacity of 13,000t of oxychloride 36%min, predicts to output around 800t in April, almost unchanged from last month, keeping around 1,500t in stock.
