Guizhou Wuling Manganese stop manganese flake production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 18 Apr 23 - As one of the largest producers of manganese flake 99.7%min in China, Guizhou Wuling Manganese Co. stopped production in the first half of April and currently has not decided when to resume production, a source from the company revealed to Asian Metal.
The source mentioned, "We stopped all production of manganese flake 99.7%min since last week given the internal rectification, and we have no idea about when to resume the production now." The producer produced around 4,000t in the previous month.
The producer, based on the annual production capacity of 80,000t of manganese flake 99.7%min, holds around 800t of stocks at the moment.
Although the market still witnessed few deals, but most suppliers refused to sell at low prices. Therefore, the current prevailing prices of manganese flake 99.7%min hover at RMB14,700-15,000/t (USD2,138-2,182/t) EXW D/P, in line with late last week. As most suppliers intend to firm their prices, insiders predicts that the prevailing prices of Chinese manganese flake 99.7%min would remain stable this week.
