BEIJING (Asian Metal) 18 Apr 23 – Most suppliers keep their prices flat due to the unchanged demand. Currently, the mainstream prices for Chinese chrome metal 99%min stand at RMB69,000-70,500/t (USD10,041-10,260/t) EXW D/P, in line with late last week. Insiders predict the mainstream prices would keep unchanged in the coming week as most suppliers have no plan to change their prices.
A trader from South China mentioned, "We offer RMB69,000/t (USD10,041/t) EXW D/P for chrome metal 99%min and could accept the price as low as RMB68,000/t (USD9,895/t) at present, unchanged from late last week". They did not conclude any deal so far this week, and they last sold around 5t at RMB68,000/t (USD9,896/t) in early April. They predict the mainstream prices would keep unchanged in the coming week, and they have no plan to change their price.
The trader, based on a regular monthly trading volume of around 30t of chrome metal 99%min, predicts to sell around 10t in April, down by around 20t from March. They have around 22t of stocks at the moment.
A trader from North China disclosed, "We quote RMB68,000/t (USD9,898/t) EXW D/P for chrome metal 99%min with no concession at present, unchanged from late last week". They received an inquiry today, but the customer hold watchful attitudes and did not purchase. They last sold around 5t at RMB68,000/t (USD9,898/t) EXW D/P mid last week. They estimate the mainstream prices would keep flat in the following week and they would keep their price flat as well.
