Fufeng Chemical restarts aluminum fluoride production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 11 Apr 23 - Jiangxi Fufeng Chemical Co., the only aluminum fluoride producer in Jiangxi of China, restarted operation in the middle of March and produced close to 1,000t in March, a source from the company reported to Asian Metal.
"We resumed operation in the middle of last month and produced close to 1,000t in March," said the source, adding that they might produce 700t in April for the weakened demand. They once shut down operation in the middle of February for the sluggish market and hold no stock now.
With one production line and the production capacity of 30,000tpy, they produced over 3,000t so far this year and around 15,000t last year.
Current mainstream prices for aluminum fluoride 61%min in China keep at RMB8,400-8,600/t (USD1,221-1,250/t) EXW, down by RMB100/t (USD15/t) from late last week for the weak demand. Producers remain pessimistic towards the price for the stagnant demand.
