Grafit Mining to resume bauxite production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 11 Apr 23 - Grafit Mining, a medium-sized bauxite producer from Turkey, is scheduled to resume production from late April and targets around 20,000t in May, a source from the company reported to Asian Metal.
"We plan to resume bauxite production from late April and might produce 20,000t next month," said the source, who once shut down operation four months ago for the snowy weather in winter. They now hold around 60,000t of bauxite Al2O3 56%min SiO2 7%max in stock.
With the production capacity of 360,000tpy, they produced around 150,000t in 2022 and plan to export bauxite to China in 2023.
Current mainstream prices for bauxite Al2O3 56%min SiO2 7%max keep at USD48-50/dt CIF China, unchanged from early this month. After winter, more and more bauxite producers from Turkey would restart operation.
