Nanjing Huaxin Nonferrous Metals to increase the output of copper rod

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 10 Apr 23 - Nanjing Huaxin Nonferrous Metals Co. intends to increase the production volume for copper rod to 27,000t in April, up by 6,000t MoM.
"In view of reviving for demand and increasing orders, I intend to move up the output for copper rod to 27,000t in April, an increase of 6,000t from last month," said a source from Nanjing Huaxing, anticipating that downstream clients from cable plants purchased the material steadily and the market moved well.
With an annual production capacity of 300,000t, the producer predicts to produce about 27,000t of copper rod in April and produced about 21,000t in March. He holds about 2,300t of stocks presently, almost identical to late last month. He produced about 285,000t of copper rod in 2022 and produced about 65,000t in Q1 of 2023.
The prevailing TCs for copper rod stood at the range of RMB600-650/t (USD86-94/t) delivered, unchanged from late last month, and buyers purchased the material as scheduled. Insiders are of the opinion the prevailing TCs for copper rod would stay flat in the forthcoming days.
