Yongfeng Alloy Material resumes aluminum bar production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 7 Apr 23 - Xinjiang Yongfeng Alloy Material Co., Ltd., one major aluminum bar producer in Northwest China, resumed production in early March and produced nearly 2,700t in March.
"Our company halted production since November 14, 2022, due to the extremely cold winter in Xinjiang. We started heating furnaces in late February and resumed production in early March. We produced about 2,700t last month and have both of two furnaces in operation now", a source from the company said, and added that they plan to keep aluminum rod output in April stable from March.
The producer, with an annual production capacity of 100,000t of aluminum bar, owns two 30-ton smelting furnaces and produced about 25,700t in 2022, holding no stock now.
On Thursday, the mainstream TCs of Chinese aluminum bar 6063 φ120mm in warehouse Foshan hovered at RMB400-440/t (USD58-64/t) delivered, stable from the previous trading day. Given the current strong market demand and consumers' active purchase, insiders believe that the prevailing TCs of Chinese aluminum bar 6063 would go up in the coming week.
