Yunnan Hualian Zinc & Indium to increase zinc concentrate production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 7 Apr 23 - Yunnan Hualian Zinc & Indium Stock Co. Ltd., one of major zinc concentrate producers in South China, plans to increase the zinc concentrate output to about 8,900 metal tons in April.
"At present, the market demand for zinc concentrate appears strong, and we plan to increase production by increasing the grade of raw ore. We intend to produce 8,900 metal tons of zinc concentrate in April, higher than about 8,500 metal tons in March", the source said, adding that all three of their production lines are currently in operation.
With an annual production capacity of 120,000 metal tons of zinc concentrate 50%min, the company saw an output of 91,000 metal tons in 2022, and holds about 800 metal tons of zinc concentrate stocks at the moment.
The mainstream TCs of zinc concentrate 50%min stood at RMB4,500-4,700/metal ton (USD654-684/metal ton) delivered in Yunnan this Thursday, on par with Wednesday. Given the strong market demand for zinc concentrate and tight supply for the moment, insiders believe that TCs of Chinese zinc concentrate would go down in the coming week.
