Longchuan Graphite restarts production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 7 Apr 23 - Jixi Longchuan Graphite Co., a medium-sized flake graphite producer in northeast China, resumed operation from early April and targets around 2,000t of production volume in April, a source from the company reported to Asian Metal.
"We restarted operation from early this month and might produce 2,000t this month," said the source, who keeps no stock now and once shut down operation late last year for the low temperature in winter.
With the production capacity of 50,000tpy, they produced around 10,000t in 2022 down from around 30,000t in 2021.
Present mainstream prices for flake graphite -194 in China keep at RMB4,570-4,770/t (USD664-694/t) EXW, stable from early this week. From early April, many producers restarted operation after winter in northeast China, while the demand remains weak now.
