BEIJING (Asian Metal) 4 Apr 23 - In view of stable prices of antimony ingot, Chinese antimony trioxide suppliers temporarily keep their quotations steady this week, but most end users just keep purchasing in accordance with orders. Mainstream prices of Chinese antimony trioxide 99.8%min stand at RMB71,500-72,500/t (USD10,388-10,534/t) delivered D/A 30 days currently, unchanged from late last week. In view of firm raw material prices, Chinese antimony trioxide suppliers intend to keep their prices firm and insiders predict that mainstream prices of Chinese antimony trioxide 99.8%min would remain stable in the coming two days.
A producer in South China said, "We now quote RMB72,000/t (USD10,461/t) delivered D/A 30 days for antimony trioxide 99.8%min, unchanged from late last week. Meanwhile, we could accept the price of RMB71,500/t (USD10,391/t) for firm orders, but with no deals concluded early this week. We once sold about 20t of the material at RMB71,500/t (USD10,391/t) late last week." According to the producer, most antimony ingot 99.85%min suppliers intended to keep their prices firm at RMB81,000/t (USD11,771/t) last week and prices of the material keep steady this week on the whole. Given stable antimony ingot prices, the producer doesn't adjust the antimony trioxide price this week, but downstream consumers are still inactive in refilling stocks and most of them just wait on the sidelines. Supported by firm raw material prices, the producer intends to keep the antimony trioxide 99.8%min quotation unchanged, predicting that mainstream prices of the material would stabilize further in the domestic market in the coming week.
With an annual production capacity of 5,000t of antimony trioxide 99.8%min, the producer produced about 2,500t of the material in 2022 and expects that the output would be around 200t this month, higher than the figure of about 100t last month. They hold around 200t of stocks for the time being, unchanged MOM.
