BEIJING (Asian Metal) 30 Mar 31 – Most suppliers keep their prices unchanged because they hold watchful attitudes and prefer to wait for the purchase prices of steel mills. Currently, the mainstream prices for Turkish chrome concentrate 46%min stand at RMB62-63/dmtu (USD9.00-9.15/dmtu), unchanged from early this week. Insiders predict the mainstream prices would keep unchanged in the coming three days as most suppliers have no plan to change their prices.
A consumer from North China mentioned, "We received the quotation at RMB63/dmtu (USD9.15/dmtu) for Turkish chrome concentrate 46%min at present, unchanged from early this week". They consider that they could purchase at RMB62.5/dmtu (USD9.07/dmtu) this week. They did not purchase this week because they hold wait-and-see attitudes and prefer to wait for the purchase prices of steel mills. They last purchased at RMB62.5/dmtu (USD9.07/dmtu) of around 2,000t in early March. They predict the mainstream prices would keep unchanged in the coming three days.
The consumer, with an annual consumption capacity of 45,000t of chrome ore, predicts to consume around 3,450t in March, unchanged from last month. They have around 8,000t of stocks at the moment.
