Chongyi Zhangyuan resumes tin concentrate production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 29 Mar 23 - Chongyi Zhangyuan Tungsten Co., Ltd., one of major tin concentrate 60%min producers in Jiangxi, resumed the production on 13th this month and produced around 30 metal tons of tin concentrate in March.
"As explosives was prohibited during the two sessions, our mine had to close. Therefore, we suspended the production of tin concentrate since early this month and resumed production on 13th. We produced around 30 metal tons in March, down by around 10 metal tons from last month," the source said from the company, adding that they would probably increase the output to around 70 metal tons next month.
The producer, with an annual production capacity of 800 metal tons, produced about 650 metal tons in 2022 and nearly 100 metal tons so far this year, holding an inventory of 500 metal tons at present as they held bullish view to the market. They mainly sell to trader in Hunan.
As most downstream clients purchased actively, the mainstream prices of tin concentrate 60%min stand at RMB193,000-195,000/metal ton (USD28,101-28,393/metal ton) delivered 80% down in Jiangxi on Tuesday, up by RMB3,000/metal ton (USD437/metal ton) from yesterday. Due to tight supply and positive attitudes from downstream clients, insiders predict that the mainstream prices of Chinese tin concentrate would move up this week.
