BEIJING (Asian Metal) 29 Mar 23 - Sichuan Zhongrun Xinda New Material Technology Co., Ltd., one of the major LC ferrochrome Cr55%min C0.25%max producers, predicts to resume their production on 25th April, a source from this company revealed to Asian Metal.
The source mentioned, "We estimate to resume our production of LC ferrochrome Cr55%min C0.25%max on 25th April and predict to produce around 700t in May". They did not start to produce since January due to the weak demand and the high prices of chrome ore.
The producer, with an annual production capacity of 70,000t of LC ferrochrome Cr55%min C0.25%max, estimates to produce around 700t in May. They did not start to produce so far this year.
On Tuesday, the mainstream prices for LC ferrochrome Cr55%min C0.25%max stand at RMB14,600-14,800/t (USD2,121-2,151/t) EXW D/P in Sichuan area, unchanged from early this week. Insiders predict the mainstream prices would keep unchanged in the coming week as most suppliers have no plan to change their prices.
