BEIJING (Asian Metal) 23 Mar 23 – Most suppliers keep their prices unchanged from early this week due to the quiet market. Currently, the mainstream prices for Chinese chrome metal 99%min stand at RMB70,000-71,500/t (USD10,164-10,382/t) EXW D/P, unchanged from early this week. Insiders predict the mainstream prices would keep unchanged in the coming week as most suppliers have no plan to change their prices.
A trader from North China mentioned, "We quote RMB70,000/t (USD10,166/t) EXW D/P for chrome metal 99%min and could accept the price as low as RMB69,000/t (USD10,021/t) EXW D/P at present, unchanged from early this week". They did not receive any inquiry within this week and last sold around 5t at RMB70,000/t (USD10,166/t) EXW D/P in early March. They have no plan to change their price in the following week and estimate the mainstream prices would keep steady in the coming week.
The trader, based on a regular monthly trading volume of around 10t of chrome metal 99%min, predicts to sell around 5t in March, unchanged from last month. They have no stock at the moment.
