South Africa Trip7 Resources increases tin concentrate production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 22 March 23 - South Africa Trip7 Resources Co., Ltd., one of tin concentrate 65%min producers in South Africa, expanded the output from about 200 metal tons in February to around 300 metal tons in March due to increased demand.
"We increased production to about 300 metal tons in March due to increased demand of a new own smelter, up by 100 metal tons from last month", the source from the company to Asian Metal. They added that would maintain a monthly production of 300mt until the new plant is fully built in six months.
Based on an annual production capacity of 5,000 metal tons of tin concentrate 65%min, they totally produced about 4,000 metal tons in 2022, holding no inventory now. They have two smelters, one in operation and the other under construction. Their concentrate is mainly used as raw material for their own smelters and for ore blending.
On Tuesday, the mainstream prices for tin concentrate 65%min stood at USD22,110-22,210/metal ton delivered in South Africa , down by USD200/metal ton from yesterday. As the supply kept tight during the past month, insiders predict the prices of South African tin concentrate would rebound this week.
