BEIJING (Asian Metal) 17 Mar 23 - European indium ingot 99.995%min market ran slowly over the past week as most downstream consumers refused to build more stocks with soft demand. Currently, the mainstream prices of European indium ingot 99.995%min hover at USD220-225/kg in warehouse Rotterdam, unchanged from late last week. Market participants forecast that the mainstream prices of European indium ingot 99.995%min would stay stable next week in view of wait-and-see attitudes from both suppliers and consumers.
A trader in Europe noted that they offer USD245/kg in warehouse Rotterdam for indium ingot 99.995%min now and could accept a counteroffer of USD230/kg in warehouse Rotterdam for firm bids no more than 100kg, the same as last week. They last sold around 50kg at USD230/kg in warehouse Rotterdam early this week and kept watching the market till the end of this week. The source said, "Nothing changed in the spot market and we expect that the prevailing prices of European indium ingot 99.995%min would remain stable in the coming week."
The trader, with a regular monthly trading volume of 1t of indium ingot 99.995%min, holds more than 1t of stocks now, almost unchanged from the end of last month. They expect to sell around 500kg in March and sold around 1t last month.
"We insist on USD230/kg in warehouse Rotterdam for indium ingot 99.995%min even for firm bids at present, the same as the beginning of this week, and have no plan to change our offer as we could not import the material below USD200/kg now," another trader in Europe disclosed, adding that they last sold around 100kg at USD250/kg in warehouse Rotterdam early this week. They believe that the mainstream prices of European indium ingot 99.995%min would stay steady next week due to firm import prices now.
