NDRC approves 30Mtpy coal capacity for Yonglong mining area

The overall planning for Yonglong mining area in Baoji, Shaanxi has been approved by the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC). According to the planning, Yonglong mining area is divided into eight smaller mine fields and one prospecting zone, with planned coal mining capacity of 30 million tonnes per year. Coal preparation plants with the same capacity will be built to wash and crush raw coal.
Yonglong mining area is part of Huanglong coalfield, one of 14 large coal deposits in China, with coal resources totaling 4.5 billion tonnes.
As the overall planning has been approved, Yonglong mining area will commence construction as scheduled during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-2025) when other three coal mines with capacity of 4Mtpy, 4Mtpy and 1.8Mtpy respectively in Baoji will also began construction.
