LONGi to invest RMB7.77 billion in 30GW high-efficiency monocrystalline cell project

LONGi Green Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (LONGi) announced on March 13 that the company intends to invest a total of RMB7.77 billion (USD1.13 billion) in a 30-gigawatt high-efficiency monocrystalline cell project in Ordos. The project will convert mass-produced cells at a transfer rate of more than 25% with the company's self-developed high-efficiency N-type TOPCon cell technology.
Meanwhile, the company announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, LONGi Leye, plans to build a subsidiary named LONGi Green Energy Technology (Xixian New Area) Co., Ltd. with a registered capital of RMB4 billion (USD582 million). The new subsidiary will mainly conduct a 100-gigawatt monocrystalline slicing project and a 50-gigawatt monocrystalline cell project in Xixian New Area.
