Xincheng Yongchuang to start secondary aluminum alloy ingot production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 14 Mar 23 - Xincheng Yongchuang Alloy Co., Ltd., a new secondary aluminum alloy ingot producer in East China, started to dry furnaces on January 1 and plans to complete drying on March 20 when commercial production will commence officially.
The company, covering an area of 500mu, holds a designed production capacity of 400,000t per year with the first-phase production capacity of 200,000t per annum. They started construction in the first half of 2021 and finished in the fourth quarter of 2022. "We will finish drying furnaces on March 20 and begin producing officially, after the drying work started on January 1. Our output will reach nearly 2,000t in March", a source from the company said, and added that they would operate three furnaces first, including one 80-ton top furnace and two 35-ton bottom furnaces.
The company, with an annual production capacity of 200,000t, owns two furnace sets at present, each of which is equipped with one 80-ton top furnace, two 35-ton bottom furnaces and one 35-ton heat holding furnace.
On Monday, the mainstream prices of aluminum alloy ingot ADC12 in East China hovered at 18,600-18,800/t (USD2,708-2,737/t) delivered D/P, down by RMB100/t (USD15/t) from last Friday. Given the current sluggish demand, insiders believe that the prevailing prices of Chinese aluminum alloy ingot ADC12 would keep stable softly in the coming week.
