BEIJING (Asian Metal) 10 Mar 23 - As buyers purchased inactively, the European erbium oxide 99.5%min market witnessed slow buying activities over the past two weeks. The current erbium oxide 99.5%min mainstream prices in Europe dropped to USD39-41/kg in warehouse Rotterdam, down by USD3.6/kg from half a month ago. Given that suppliers refuse to lower prices, insiders forecasted that the erbium oxide 99.5%min mainstream prices in Europe would level off in the upcoming week.
A European trader predicted that his erbium oxide 99.5%min purchase volume in March would go down by about two tons MoM due to weak demand from his consumers. His regular suppliers lower erbium oxide 99.5%min quotation to about USD40/kg in warehouse Rotterdam to him at present. According to his experience, he could buy at about USD39/kg now, while he couldn't buy at prices below USD44/kg half a month ago. He concluded his latest procurement in late February, when he bought eight tons at about USD44/kg. With a typical monthly trading volume of five tons of erbium oxide 99.5%min, the trader estimates to purchase around six tons in March, compared with eight tons in February. His purchase volumes in 2022 and so far in 2023 recorded approximately 60t and 14t respectively. He holds an inventory of around five tons now, without much change MoM.
Another European trader predicted that his erbium oxide 99.5%min purchase volume will go down by around one ton MoM. His regular sellers quote about USD42/kg D.D.P. for erbium oxide 99.5%min to him now.
