Kunshan Shenghan reduces tin solder production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 9 Mar 23 - Kunshan Shenghan Group, one of major tin solder producers in east China, would reduce production of tin solder to around 450t this month discouraged by few orders, the source noted from the company to Asian Metal.
"As our clients purchased from hand to mouth, we decided to decline the production to about 450t, down by 50t from last month," the source noted. They reported that the sales volume of their downstream clients decreased after the Spring Festival, especially export orders. Now, they prefer to remain the same output next month.
Their main business is the production and sales of tin solder, such as solder wire, solder strip, solder paste, electroplating anode tin. Widely used in electronic circuits, photovoltaic modules, photovoltaic welding tape, semiconductor packaging, communication cables, communication equipment and computer motherboard related products. With an annual production of around 8,000t, they hold an inventory of about 90t for the time being.
Due to declined prices of raw materials, the current tin solder of Sn 99.3%min, Cu 0.7%max stand at RMB201-203/kg (USD28.9-29.3/kg) EXW D/P in east China, down by RMB1/kg (USD0.14/kg). As most downstream clients purchased from hand to mouth, insiders believe the mainstream prices of tin solder of Sn 99.3%min, Cu 0.7%max would go down further tomorrow.
