A North-China-based producer noted that they insist on RMB53,000/t (USD3.47/lb) EXW D/P for bismuth ingot 99.99%min only for downstream consumers now and prefer to hold back from selling with limited stocks, while they still could accept RMB52,000/t (USD3.40/lb) EXW D/P one week ago. They started to watch the market since the end of last month with bullish attitudes towards the market and last sold around 33t at RMB50,500/t (USD3.30/lb) EXW D/P late last month . The source said, "Considering that the supply keeps tight, we believe that the prevailing prices of Chinese bismuth ingot 99.99%min would go up to RMB55,000/t (USD3.60/lb) EXW D/P in the coming week."
The producer, based on a production capacity of 4,800tpy of bismuth ingot 99.99%min, expects to produce around 400t this month, up by about 100t from last month . They hold limited stocks presently, in line with the end of last month . They started to produce the materials since last July and produced around 1,230t in 2022.
Another producer in Northern China disclosed that they increased the price of bismuth ingot 99.99%min to RMB53,000/t (USD3.47/lb) EXW D/P now and could not lower the price even for firm bids, while they still could accept RMB52,000/t (USD3.40/lb) EXW D/P early last week. As they just sold around 33t at RMB53,000/t (USD3.47/lb) EXW D/P early this week and hold no inventory now, they prefer to watch the market without any offer . "We are of the opinion that the prevailing prices of Chinese bismuth ingot 99.99%min would go up to RMB55,000/t (USD3.60/lb) EXW D/P in the upcoming week due to higher prices from us."
The producer, with a production capacity of 3,200tpy of bismuth ingot 99.99%min, holds no stock now, down by about 100t from the end of last month . They expect to produce around 280t this month, in line with February . They produced about 2,860t in 2022 and around 560t so far in 2023.
