Yahua Group to invest RMB2.56 billion to expand lithium salts capacity

Sichuan Yahua Industrial Group announced on March 1 that it plans to launch the third phase of its 100,000tpy high-grade lithium salts project. The company said the third phase will add 30,000t of high-grade lithium hydroxide and 40,000t of lithium carbonate to its annual lithium salts capacity, which would exceed 170,000tpy when the third phase is complete and operational. The company has entered into an agreement with Ya'an city to build the 70,000tpy third phase project and a 34,000t explosives production line relocation project, with total investment of RMB2.56 billion (USD371 million).
