Lizhong Nonferrous completes maintenance of secondary aluminum alloy production lines

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 3 Mar 23 - Hebei Lizhong Nonferrous Metals Group Co., Ltd., one of the major secondary aluminum alloy ingot producers in North China, completed all the production lines in late February and produced about 4,000t in February.
"As the Spring Festival holiday ended, we began to maintain all the production lines one after another and completed the maintenance in late February. We produced about 4,000t of aluminum alloy ingot in February and plan to increase the output to about 5,800t in March," a source from the company said, adding that they operate four furnaces now.
With an annual production capacity of 90,000t and six furnace combinations, the company produced about 50,000t in 2022 and holds about 2,000t of stocks now.
On Thursday, mainstream prices for aluminum alloy ingot ADC12 in North China stood at RMB18,900-19,100/t (USD2,741-2,770/t) delivered D/P, up by RMB100/t (USD14.50/t) from Wednesday. At present, the demand for secondary aluminum alloy ingot keeps weak and producers bear heavy sales pressure, so prices for Chinese aluminum alloy ingot ADC12 would keep flat in the coming week.
