The current mainstream prices of ferroniobium 65%min in American market increased to USD24.0-25.0/lb Nb in warehouse Pittsburgh, up by USD1.0/lb Nb from early last week. As most suppliers remain optimistic about the market, insiders predict that the mainstream prices would increase further in the coming week.
"We offer USD26.0/lb Nb in warehouse Pittsburgh for ferroniobium 65%min and could accept USD25.0/lb Nb for orders no less than 5t at the moment, while we quoted USD25.0/lb Nb and could accept USD24.0/lb Nb for the same quantity early last week," said a trader in the U.S., who received three inquiries this week, while they received only two inquiries in total last week. They last sold about 5t to a regular client at around USD24.0/lb Nb early last week. Considering tight supply in the spot market, the trader intends to raise their price by around USD1.0/lb Nb next week and predicts that the mainstream prices would increase by around USD1.0/lb Nb in the coming week.
The trader, with a regular monthly trading volume of 10t, expects to sell around 10t in March, the same as February. They sold nearly 120t in 2022 and around 20t so far in 2023. They hold around 20t of stocks now, up by 10t from last month.
