Chinese chrome metal prices unchanged

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 3 Mar 23 – Most suppliers keep their prices unchanged from early this week due to the unchanged market demand. Currently, the mainstream prices for chrome metal 99%min stand at RMB71,000-71,500/t (USD10,289-10,361/t) EXW D/P, unchanged from early this week. Insiders predict the mainstream prices would keep steady in the coming week as most suppliers have no plan to change their prices.
A trader from North China mentioned, "We quote RMB72,000/t (USD10,427/t) EXW D/P for chrome metal 99%min and could accept the price as low as RMB71,000/t (USD10,282/t) EXW D/P, unchanged from early this week". They disclosed that the market shows unchanged demand at present, so they did not change their prices in the recent two weeks. They last sold around 6t at RMB71,000/t (USD10,282/t) EXW D/P mid last week. They have no plan to change their price and predict the mainstream prices would keep unchanged in the following week.
The trader, based on a regular monthly trading volume of around 20t of chrome metal 99%min, predicts to sell around 20t in March, in line with last month. They have no inventory at the moment.
