Sichuan's titanium dioxide output reaches 815kt in 2022

Sichuan produced about 815,000t of titanium dioxide in 2022, basically in line with 2021, accounting for about 21.1% of the total national output, according to the relevant data from the Vanadium Titanium Steel Industry Association of Sichuan.
In terms of product type, consolidated production included 687,000t of rutile titanium dioxide (84.3%), 105,000t of anatase and primary rutile titanium dioxide (12.9%), and 23,000t of special titanium dioxide (2.8%). As for production method, consolidated production consisted of 753,000t of sulfate titanium dioxide (92.4%) and 62,000t of chloride-route titanium dioxide (7.6%).
Moreover, other public statistics showed that China's total output of rutile titanium dioxide, anatase titanium dioxide as well as other related products reached 3.861 million tons in 2022, up by 71,000t or 1.87% year on year.
