BEIJING (Asian Metal) 2 Mar 23 - As importers held wait-and-see attitudes, the Indian metallurgical grade LaCe mischmetal (Ce/RE 65%min) market saw sporadic inquiries and deals over the past two weeks. However, the mainstream import prices of metallurgical grade LaCe mischmetal (Ce/RE 65%min) in India hovered unchanged at USD3
An Indian importer noted that his regular Chinese exporters holds metallurgical grade LaCe mischmetal (Ce/RE 65%min) quotation firm at around USD3.3/kg CIF India to him at present . Based on his experience, he couldn't bargain for better prices if he would import now, the same as half a month ago . "I last imported 15t at around USD3.4/kg in mid-January," said the importer, who didn't purchase due to poor demand from his end users. His Chinese exporters prefer to hold stocks rather than accept counteroffer from him, so he predicted that the mainstream import prices of metallurgical grade LaCe mischmetal (Ce/RE 65%min) in India would continue standing at current levels in the upcoming week.
With a typical monthly import volume of seven tons of metallurgical grade LaCe mischmetal (Ce/RE 65%min), the importer imported 80t and 15t respectively in 2022 and so far in 2023. He expects no import this month, unchanged MoM . He doesn't have stock at the moment, in line with one month ago.
