ISKY to increase crude indium output in 2023

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 2 Mar 23 - One of major Chinese crude indium 99%min producers, ISKY Chemicals Co. expects to produce around 10t of crude indium 99%min in total in 2023, up by 100% YoY, a source from the company disclosed to Asian Metal.
The source said, "We only produced around 5t of crude indium 99%min totally in 2022 in view of decreasing indium content of the ore, and plan to produce around 10t this year." They hold no offer of crude indium 99%min at present and did not start to sell after the Spring Festival.
The producer, based on a production capacity of 36tpy of crude indium 99%min, produced around 800kg in February, unchanged MoM. They hold no more than 1t of stocks now.
The current prevailing prices of Chinese crude indium 99%min hoer at RMB1,345-1,375/kg (USD196-200/kg) EXW D/P, down by RMB20/kg (USD2.91/kg) from the end of last week. The market witness inactive deals. Insiders are of the opinion that the prevailing prices of Chinese crude indium 99%min would move down further in the coming week due to decreasing prices of indium ingot 99.995%min.
