Guinea Shengrong Mining to load the 1st vessel of bauxite

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 2 Mar 23 - Guinea Shengrong Mining Development SARL, a new bauxite producer in Guinea, plans to load the 1st vessel of bauxite with the volume of around 170,000t in early May, a source from the company reported to Asian Metal.
"We plan to load the first vessel of bauxite, around 170,000t from early May," said the source, adding that they started bauxite production from early March and would produce over 170,000t this month.
With the initial production capacity of 5 million tonnes per year, they would provide bauxite Al2O3 45%min SiO2 3%max and export to China. They have ordered eight barges and two floating cranes, reaching the daily delivery capacity of 25,000t. The 50km-road to the reiver port will finish construction soon with only 4km left.
Present mainstream prices for Guinean bauxite Al2O3 45%min SiO2 3%max keep at USD66.5-68.5/dt CIF China, unchanged from one week ago. Before the rainy season starting from June, new bauxite producers from Guinea speed up the infrastructure construction.
