Beijing Sanhe Dingxin increases tin powder production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 2 Mar 23 - A major tin power producers in North China, Beijing Sanhe Dingxin Hi-tech Development Co., Ltd., plans to expand tin powder production from 15t in February to around 20t in March due to more orders.
"We receive more orders in March and we would increase the output to about 20t this month, up by nearly 5t from last month", the source noted from the company, adding that they would probably keep the same production next month.
They produced about 150t of tin powder in 2022 due to dim market and their production target this year is more than 200t. Based on an annual production capacity of 360t, the company purchases tin ingot 99.95%min (mainly Yun Brand) to produce tin powder and mainly sells to electronics plants in East China. Now they hold about 5t of raw materials.
On Wednesday, the mainstream prices for tin powder 200 mesh stand at RMB218-220/kg (USD31.6-31.9/kg) EXW D/P in North China, down by RMB3/kg (USD0.43/kg) yesterday. As the prices of raw materials went down and the demand of market kept soft during the past week, insiders predict that the mainstream prices for tin powder would go down this week.
