Demonstration project of high-quality cycle and vanado-tungsten co-extraction with 40k m3/year spent denitrification catalyst passes assessment

On February 16, the task of "Key Technologies Research and Project Demonstration of Spent Denitrification Catalyst Carrier Reuse" of the national key R&D Plan of "Solid Waste Recycling" under "13th Five-Year Plan" led by Process Engineering sector successfully passed on-site inspection and index test of demonstration project organized by China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association (CNIA).
In May 2022, the task team built the world's first set of high-quality cycle and vanado-tungsten co-extraction with 40k m3/year spent denitrification catalyst demonstration line in Dingyuan, Anhui, which has realized stable operation for more than 6 months, and its technical and engineering indicators have also met assessment requirements. The recovery rate of the line's titanium, tungsten and vanadium exceeded 98%, and the impurity content in recycled products has also met the industry requirements, which means the products can replace the original titanium dioxide at 100% for preparation of new denitrification catalysts while the production cost is reduced by more than 20%, thus realizing recycling from low-end to high quality of spent denitrification catalyst.
