Mongolia's coal production nearly triples in Jan

According to data released by National Statistical Office of Mongolia, in 2022, the coal production of Mongolia totaled about 37.17 million tons, up by 23.4% YoY, and the coal exports totaled about 31.84 million tons, up by 97.1% YoY.
In January 2023, the coal production of Mongolia recorded about 5.97 million tons, up by 195.7% YoY while down by 10.6% MoM. The coal exports reached about 3.63 million tons in the given month, up by 481.5% YoY while down by 21.9% MoM.
