NEA approves two coal mine projects in Xinjiang

Recently, the National Energy Administration (NEA) approved the North Jieliangzi Coal Mine Project under North Area of Xinjiang Yining Mining Area and Xinyu Coal Mine Project under Turpan Qiquanhu Mining Area, with a total capacity of 3.6 million tons.
In particular, the 2.4Mtpa North Jieliangzi Coal Mine Project under North Area of Yining Mining Area is located in Yining City and Huocheng County, with a total investment of RMB2.103 billion (USD310 million). The 1.2Mtpa Xinyu Coal Mine Project under Turpan Qiquanhu Mining Area is located in Gaochang District, Turpan City, with a total investment of RMB1.46 billion (USD215 million).
