Xinyi Silicon starts building 200,000tpy polysilicon project (phase one)

A ceremony was held formally on February 1st to launch the construction of Xinyi Group Yunnan Qujing Polysilicon Phase One Project. With a total investment of about RMB20 billion (USD2.95 billion), the project covers about 1,720,000 square meters, plans to build production lines for 200,000tpy of polysilicon and their supporting production lines for 20,000tpy of silica, and are divided into three phases in construction. The phase one project has a total investment of around RMB6 billion (USD884.96 million), covers about 530,000 square meters and is designed to build production lines for 60,000tpy of electronic grade polysilicon and their supporting production lines for 10,000tpy of silica with a construction period of six-nine months.
