Tongguan Copper Foil breaks ground on 15ktpy electronic copper foil project

On January 14, Anhui Tongguan Copper Foil Group Co., Ltd. held the groundbreaking ceremony for the main plant of its 15,000tpy ultra-thin electronic copper foil project.
The plant is scheduled to finish construction this July and commence full production by 2024 within a construction period of 18 months.
With total investment estimated at RMB1.35 billion (USD198 million), the project will have an annual production capacity of 15,000t of ultra-thin electronic copper foil used for high-precision energy storage, including copper foils with thickness of 8μm, 6μm, 4.5μm (and below), and of other specifications used for lithium battery.
