Inner Mongolia saw its actual annual coal production capacity reach 1.22 billion in 2022, with its total installed powder capacity increasing to 173 gigawatts, including 65 gigawatts of installed new energy capacity, according to local energy bureau.
In 2022, Inner Mongolia supplied 720 million tons of coal and 264 billion KWh of power outside the autonomous region, accounting for one third and one sixth of the national total respectively, with its external power transmission capability reaching 70 gigawatts, making it one of the top-ranked in China.
