India's coal production in 2022 up by 12.1% YoY

According to the Ministry of Coal of India, in 2022 India produced a total of 909 million tons of coal (including lignite), the first time that its coal output capped 900 million tons, up by 94.8 million tons or 12.1% from the previous year.
In December 2022, India's coal (including coal and lignite) production was 86.24 million tons, up by 9.6% YoY and 8.9% MoM. In particular, the non-lignite coal production was 82.87 million tons, up by 10.81% from December 2021.
