NEA: China's thermal coal supply via mid-to-long term contracts to rise to 2.6 billion tons in 2023

Data released by China's National Energy Administration (NEA) during the national energy work conference indicated that the coal output across the country was about 4
. 45 billion tons in 2022, up by 8% or 320 million tons YOY . According to relative estimation, thermal coal mid-to-long term supply contracts of about 2 billion tons were fulfilled in China in 2022 . It's expected that the supply volume of thermal coal via mid-to-long term contracts would rise to 2 . 6 billion tons in 2023, accounting for more than 85%.
