Poland's coal production up by 2.0% YoY in Jan-Nov

In November 2022, Poland produced 4.55 million tons of hard coal, down by 2.1% YoY and up by 4.6% MoM, and its lignite production recorded 4.39 million tons in the month, up by 2.4% YoY while down by 3.0% MoM, with the country's coal production totaling 8.94 million tons, up from the prior month and basically on par with a year ago, according to data released by the Central Statistical Office of Poland (GUS).
In January-November period, Poland's coal production totaled 98.77 million tons, up by 2.0% from the prior year period. This included 48.63 million tons of hard coal, down by 3.5% YoY, and 50.14 million tons of lignite, up by 7.9% YoY.
