Hunan's total foreign trade value crosses RMB600 billion mark for first time

China's Hunan province recorded total import and export value of RMB641.76 billion (USD 91.9 billion) in the first eleven months of 2022, up by 22.8% year on year and surpassing the 600 billion yuan mark for the first time, according to data released by Changsha Customs. The year-to-date foreign trade value already exceeded last year's total and is expected to hit the 100 billion dollar milestone by the end of this year.
Hunan saw rapid growth in exports of mechanical and electrical products, with export value totaling RMB193.88 billion (USD27.76 billion) for the first eleven months, up by 21.7% YoY and accounting for 41.1% of the province's total export value.
