On October 17, Shanshan Corporation announced that it planned to raise no more than RMB6 billion (USD0.83 billion) via private placement; upon deduction of issuing costs, the proceeds will be used in the 300,000tpy Li-battery anode material project (phase one) of its subsidiary Yunnan Shanshan New Materials Co., Ltd. and to supplement working capital.
