CPCA: China's passenger car retail sales rise by 21.5% YoY in Sept

According to the data released by China Passenger Car Association (CPCA), retail sales of China's passenger car reached 1.922 million units in September 2022, up by 21.5% year-on-year and 2.8% month-on-month, with the MOM growth reaching its lowest level in nearly two decades. And the retail sales from January to September of this year totaled 14,875,000 units, a net increase of 355,000 units from corresponding period of a year earlier.
In September, China's new energy passenger car retailed reached 611,000 units, going up by 82.9% YoY and 14.7% MoM. From January to September, the new energy passenger cars retailed domestically reported 3.877 million units, up by 113.2% YoY.
