MOFCOM responds to the U.S. elevating restrictions to China in semiconductor export

Recently, the United States Department of Commerce elevated its export restrictions to China in the semiconductor manufacturing and advanced computing fields. During the process of removing nine Chinese entities out of the Unverified List (UVL), another 31 Chinese entities were moved in by the U.S. government.
On October 10, a spokesperson of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) responded to the U.S. elevating export restrictions to China, pointing out that adding another 31 Chinese entities into the UVL is technical bullying behavior, not only going against mutual cooperation spirit and cooperation facts between China and the U.S., but also severely hindering the normal trade relation between the two countries, breaking market rules and international trade order, and threatening stability of the global industrial supply chain. China firmly opposed this behavior.
