100,000tpy power battery anode material processing industrial park starts building in Bayan Nur

On September 2nd, Huaqi New Energy started building its 100,000tpy power battery anode material processing industrial park project in Ganqi Maodu port processing zone in Bayan Nur. As the first power battery anode material processing project in Bayan Nur, this project filled the gap of the city in the development of the whole industrial chain of new materials.
With a total investment of RMB1.1 billion (USD158.48 million), the project covers about 666,667 square meters and is divided into three phases. The phase one of 30,000tpy lithium-ion battery anode materials, which already broke ground on September 2nd, is planned to have a total investment of RMB300 million (USD43.21 million) and go into production in March 2023 with annual output values and taxes expected to be RMB900 million (USD129.63 million) and RMB130 million (USD18.72 million) respectively. The project could produce 100,000t of power battery anode materials per year and achieve annual output values and taxes of RMB3.8 billion (USD547.39 million) and RMB320 million (USD46.10 million) respectively after all the three phases go into production.
